
Cummins West Africa Limited, a Leventis Group Member, is expanding its operations in Nigeria and it URGENTLY requires competent, brilliant and result oriented persons for the following positions:
SERVICE ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to accurately carry out fault diagnostics and repairs to Cummins Engines and Generator sets
• Complete repairs with target times and without rework following all published procedures and policies.
• Effective coordination/ supervision of service personnel or teams to ensure all Service and customer requirements are met.
• Provide technical Support to relevant staff, customers and dealers as required.
• Undertakes training in line with skill requirements (some training may be completed overseas).
• Ensure Cummins & customer HSE standards are met and enforced at all times on both Cummins and customer sites.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• OND/HND/B.Sc in Mechanical/ Electrical Electronics Engineer.
• Candidates who can drive can be given preference.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Service Engineer.
• Experience of Cummins engines or Generators would be an added advantage
• Proven background of diesel engines or generator repair and maintenance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Electrical experience is an added advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
SERVICE TECHNICIAN
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs Cummins Engines and Generators sets
• Ensure proper operations and maintenance of generators
• Complete repairs within target times without rework
• Have and demonstrate ability to work on own initiative and within the parameters laid down
• Work a reasonable amount of overtime to complete and clear work load
• Ensure Cummins & customer HSE standards are met and enforced at all times on both Cummins and customer sites.
REQUIREMENT/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• Diploma, City & Guilds and Trade Test in Engines and Generator Plant.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generator sets
• Electrical experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
PA/ SECRETARY TO THE GENERAL MANAGER- AFTERMARKET
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prove high quality support to the GM/AFM.
• Manages and ensure smooth running of his affairs, organizing, scheduling and maintaining information in an efficient way.
• Manages the schedules to enhance effective prioritization of appointment and reschedules where necessary.
• Manages, prioritizes screens and monitors the GM/AFM’s correspondence including calls, emails and post to ensure they are dealt with appropriately.
• Arranges meetings, documents and venues for GM/AFM.
• Collects and researches information an assigned matters.
• Produces reports as assigned by GM/AFM
REQIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• Minimum of HND Secretarial/ Administration.
• Proficiency in MS Suite packages and other relevant software.
• At least 2 years cognate experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Not more than 40 years and able to work late on Weekdays and occasionally attend work on weekends and public holidays.
